Recently, a delegation from Jinan, consisting of representatives from the economic and trade sectors, visited Germany. The visit aimed to engage with important business associations, financial and trade institutions, conduct city promotion activities, organize business negotiations for enterprises, promote products, and visit industrial parks. The aim was to foster cooperation between Jinan and Germany in green, low-carbon industries, provide precise services to enterprises, and facilitate bilateral economic and trade exchanges.
The Jinan delegation held in-depth discussions with various entities, such as the Federation of German Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the Berlin Economic and Technological Promotion Agency, to establish communication mechanisms, build exchange platforms, and discuss pragmatic project cooperation. The delegation provided a detailed introduction to Jinan's economic development, with a focus on promoting the China-Europe Carbon Association. They actively sought to host the China Annual Conference of the Federation of German Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Jinan, extending sincere invitations to all guests, encouraging them to organize German companies to participate in conferences and visits to Jinan, thereby enabling more German enterprises to understand and invest in Jinan.
During the China (Shandong)-Germany Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference, the delegation promoted Jinan city and introduced the economic and social development of Jinan to the attending guests. They highlighted Jinan's advantageous industries and business environment. Jinan is one of the Chinese cities with the closest exchange and cooperation ties with Germany. Its industrial foundations are highly integrated and complementary with Germany, indicating significant cooperation potential. Leveraging the opportunities presented by the China-Europe Carbon Association, they invited German economic and trade institutions and enterprises to experience the trade and investment atmosphere and the charm of Jinan. On-site, Jinan enterprises engaged in one-on-one economic and trade negotiations and connections with German counterparts.
On March 13th, the Jinan delegation attended the Future Day of German SMEs event and organized three companies from Shandong, including Shandong Teya Steel, Yaohua Glass, and Yinfeng Nanomaterials, to present their products at parallel forums.
The Federation of German Small and Medium-sized Enterprises organizes the Future Day of German SMEs. It is Germany's largest event for SMEs, focusing on discussions about the future development of German SMEs. In 2024, the event invited over 4,000 guests, including ambassadors, well-known enterprises, chairpersons of various German associations, experts, and scholars.
During this visit, our Jinan economic and trade delegation organized a total of six companies from various industries, such as steel, new materials, and construction materials, to participate. Through participation in a series of economic and trade activities, such as the Shandong Trade Promotion Overseas Mission to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and others, we aimed to provide precise services to help companies expand into international markets.
